Eisenhower on Documentation

During his 1945 visit to liberated concentration camps - such as Ohrdruf, a subcamp of Buchenwald - Eisenhower insisted on documenting what he saw. He famously urged:

“Get it all on record now - get the films, get the witnesses - because somewhere down the road of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened.”
