The Iraq war was popular with me until it became clear there were no weapons of mass destruction, and that was determined in less than 30 days.
It then became perfectly clear that we got snoockered by one of the biggest lies in American history, and that the Bush administration's objectives were very different than we were led to believe.
My view of government will never be the same, and the fact that we have kept Bush & Co. in power will be regarded by history as shameful.
Well, if not shameful at least puzzling. If future generations don't scratch their heads over what we've done, my optimism about the future should be reconsidered.
