Los Lobos

Combine the psychedelic music and imagery of Northern California with the folk music and imagery of of Baja California and you just might get this fabulous song and video from Los Lobos, a band from here in Southern California. It's the weekend - I'll save the talk of social evolution and politics until later. Enjoy.

Thank you. Ron. A friend introduced me to the music of Los Lobos a year or so ago, but without her around I had forgotten how much I like what they do.

So, the music started and my 3 year old came to watch as if pulled by an invisible hand to the surreal images in this video. Then he sat mesmerized while it played out. When it was done he said Wow! and looked at me with a happy smile on his face. WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT MEANS RON?

SS Nick,
you are welcome!

Milena,
I think it means that Raffi is going to be wasted on your boy. Once you've exposed him to the good stuf, it's hard to go back.

I went to a Los Lobos concert last year. Mistakenly, I nearly yelled out "play Heaven!".

Apparently Los Lobos are not Los Lonely Boys.

And I wondered why the tickets were so cheap...

Damon,
in spain, audiences often show up for the wrong "the" band (e.g., confusing The Ramones with the The Rolling Stones, for instance). I'm glad that you aren't ashamed of yourself for assuming that all "Los" bands were the same.
