I used to be somebody. People went out of their way to wish me well. Treated me a bit like a celebrity.
Now? Now I'm just like everyone else. Slipped back into the crowd. Anonymous again for another 364 days until the next birthday arrives. And what a price to pay for ephemeral fame: getting another year older.
